You Can't Judge A Book By Its Cover #313

You can't judge a book by its cover - which is very true.
But you can like one cover version better than another...

US cover
UK cover
Canadian cover
I've enjoyed Susie Steiner's previous two books featuring Manon Bradshaw who works works part-time in the cold cases department of the Cambridgeshire Police Dept. The third entry, Stay Silent, releases the beginning of June. Three options this week! The US cover is on the left, the Canadian cover is on the lower left and the UK cover is on the right.

Trees are featured on each cover. (Having looked at the synopsis, a tree starts the story off.) I quite like the stictching on top of the words on the US cover. Kind of a "keep your mouth shut' idea. But I really like the colors used on the UK cover. That is a tree branch, but it could be electricity. It just says danger alongside the black background. The Canadian cover doesn't grab me all. The tree is viewed from a different perspective - looking up. But I find the colors kind of meh. The red just doesn't jump out at all.'s between US and the UK for me....and I think I'll go with the UK cover this week. What about you? Which cover do you prefer? Any plans to read Remain Silent? You Can't Judge A Book By Its Cover is a regular feature at A Bookworm's World.

The Canadian cover caught my eye immediately.

3 to choose from this week completely overwhelmed me with options lol! I actually think I prefer the US version this week.

I like the Canadian cover. As to planning to read it - well, I read the first book and never read the second. I'm fairly certain that I own it. I better get on that before #3 comes out.

I'm surprised that the Canadian cover is in the lead this week!

And it was fun to find three options this week!

For some reason I missed this post. Love the idea of 3 different covers and very sorry to disappoint you Luanne but I really prefer the Cdn cover. I’ve read both of Steiner’s earlier books in this series. The1st book was terrific, unfortunately I wasn’t as taken by the 2nd book, it was a bit of a letdown. But I’m over the moon to hear that she’ll be releasing the next book in this series. Fingers crossed that it’s as good as, or better than her first.

Another Canada cover vote from Icewineanne - I am definitely in the minority on this one! It was fun to find three! I read the first, haven't gotten to the second, but will get to it and number three at some point!
