- You can't judge a book by its cover - which is very true.
But you can like one cover version better than another...

I've been waiting for the release of The Bone Tree by Greg Iles since I turned the last pages of the first book, Natchez Burning, in this trilogy. (April 21 for NA) The US/Canadian cover is on the left and the UK cover is on the right. I'm torn this week. The UK cover is quite dramatic with the tagline, the chains and the font. The US cover evokes the southern setting - and the ominous tree. Hmm, US for me this week. Is The Bone Tree a book you plan to read?
Which cover do you prefer?

Am I going to read THE BONE TREE? Oh, yes. I certainly am. Can't wait. And then we'll have to wait another year for the conclusion. That's the way of it.
The covers - well, I'm going with the US one this time. I like the sun and the tree and the water setting.
I'm not crazy about either cover - I find the colors a little off putting.
I like the US / Canadian one better.
Not very gone on either of the covers but covers do draw me in very often.
The Cdn cover reminds me of something on a travel brochure. The UK cover is more sinister. As the book is a thriller, I'm going with the UK cover. Can't wait to read your review :-)
