Yes, that's her - you know, Elisabeth Hasselbeck from the televison program The View. But did you know she also suffers from gluten intolerance? And discovered it while on the tv show Survivor in Australia?
From the publisher:
"For years, Elisabeth Hasselbeck couldn't figure out what was making her sick. She asked doctors and consulted nutritionists, but no one seemed to have any answers. It wasn't until spending time in the Australian Outback, living off the land on the grueling Survivor TV show, that, ironically, her symptoms vanished. Returning home, she pinpointed the food that made her sick -- gluten, the binding element in wheat. By simply eliminating it from her diet, she was able to enjoy a completely normal, healthy life. But that wasn't all. Hasselbeck discovered the myriad benefits that anyone can enjoy from a gluten-free diet: from weight loss and increased energy to even the alleviation of the conditions of autism. In this all-inclusive book, Hasselbeck shares her hard-earned wisdom on living life without gluten and loving it. She gives you everything you need to know to start living a gluten-free life, from defining gluten - where to find it, how to read food labels - to targeting gluten-free products, creating G-Free shopping lists, sharing recipes, and managing G-Free living with family and friends."
Weight loss and added energy - I want to know more!

I would love to read this book!
I've been curious when I heard she was writing a book after seeing an episode of the View where there was a cake baking demo and when offered a piece she said "I don't know if I can eat that, I have Celiac" Even my gluten-eating friend watching it with me turned and said "how can you not know? she clearly watched them put regular flour in it!" So I'd love to know what she has to say and how closely she follows the gluten-free diet.
Thanks!
This looks great even though I'm not gluten intolerant! Please enter me!

In Oct'08 found out I had a gluten problem. I can not believe how many foods have gluten hidden in them. Soy sauce. Ice cream as a binder. Orange juice to make it feel thick on your tongue. Potato fries so they brown better.
The worse is that the ingredients do not say wheat gluten or wheat, it could say modified food starch, vegetable protein, or any of over 50 ways to not tell you that is has the offending product in it.
So my grocery bill has doubled and tripled since I have to eat gluten-free food.
There is also the problem of milling or manufactured in a plant that processes wheat.
So I really need this book.

I've done a gluten free trial and felt great, but need to try again. I'd love to see what she has to say.
I work 2 jobs but happened to catch Elisabeth on TV talking about her book. I have MS and I think this type of eating may help with the constant fatigue which is one of my worst symptoms. Thanks for the opportunity.
Just like Elisabeth, I had to self diagnose myself. After years of stomach cramping, rashes, mouth sores, bloating and leg numbness and other various illness that would be TMI. I happened upon a website for Celiac Disease and there listed most of my symptoms. Just reseaches on different website I began my Gluten Free Lifestyle 2 weeks today and I have not had any stomach cramping, no headaches, my rashes are going away, I sleep sound, and get this I lost 8lbs. I would love to have this book to continue my Gluten Free Journey.
I just received the results of a blood test for food allergies, showing that I am allergic to gluten and all grains, except corn and oats.
For the past week, I have been trying to determine which foods I can eat that do not have gluten. It has been very frustrating because I'm finding that many foods contain gluten even though the labeling does not indicate this.
This book would be such a great help to me!
My friend has celiac disease and would love this book. Thanks for the chance
jason@allworldautomotive.com
I've wondered if I might have celiac disease and would be interested in trying a gluten free diet to see if my symptoms abate like Elizabeth's did. I try to avoid foods made with wheat, barley and rye, but don't know much about it beyond that.
Please enter me!
Wheat intolerance has been a fairly new thing for me in the past few years. I am now constantly avoiding wheat and, as often as possible, avoiding gluten. I have suffered with digestive issues throughout my entire life and I'd LOVE to know more about signs, symptoms, and how to be diagnosed.
