You Can't Judge A Book By Its Cover # 90

- You can't judge a book by its cover - which is very true.
But you can like one cover version better than another.....

US cover
UK cover
I'm a sucker for the phrase 'psychological thriller'. Lisa Lutz's upcoming novel, The Passenger, has been described as such, and so has landed on my TBR list. The US cover is on the left and the UK cover is on the right. Well, an easy decision for me this week - US. It seems more 'adult' if you will and more ominous. The road headed into the darkness has me wondering - and wanting to open the book. For me, the UK cover is too 'cheesy'.
And I think I've seen too many 'girl's eyes through blinds or mirrors or looking backwards over their shoulder' covers lately.
Any plans to read The Passenger? Which cover do you prefer?
You Can't Judge A Book By Its Cover is now a regular Friday feature
at A Bookworm's World.

Not very enamoured by either cover! surely with a psychological thriller you could do more!

I'm not loving either one, actually. I am very interested in reading the book though. I've read other books by Lisa Lutz and I've also seen her at an author event. The other books had such humor, along with the mystery, and in person, she's very droll. Psychological thriller seems a bit different for her and so I must find out about it.

I'm with Mystica and Kay, I don't love either cover but agree with you that the UK cover feels a little silly.

I wasn't sure about either, but after reading thru the other comments, I agree that the UK cover is kind of silly. Looking forward to reading a non-Spellman book by Lutz.
