One of my favorite ways to spend a summer afternoon is to have a small group of friends over with their kids, throw some food on the grill and cut up some fresh fruit and veggies, and mix up some delicious homemade margaritas! There nothing better than good food and even better company ;)
This summer we are planning on spending more time at home, working on our yardwork and garden. Although we will fit some time in there for some leisurely boating!

Living year round on a beautiful lake, we always have many guests especially in the summer months. Of course they enjoy a drink or two and this would be a fun way to learn how to mix a good drink. I'm always up for a good get together.

My favorite summer memory is every summer my family goes for a weeklong vacation to Hilton Head. I have made some great memories there and in the past couple of years my best friend and boyfriend have been going with me so I'm sure there's many more to come!

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is hang around on the dock at our cabin throwing sticks for the dog. If I win I could add "drinking a a cocktail" to that!

We are only a ten minute boat ride away from the longest beach in Nova Scotia, we spend a fair amount of time there and on our boat jigging for mackeral.

Summer at the beach in Rhode Island. Fresh air, fresh food, lots of fun.
We plan on camping and hiking in the mountains in July. Maybe trips to the zoo and museum in Denver also.
We will be having a lot of BBQs on the back deck this summer. Sometimes we stay up all night smoking meat to share with our friends, family and neighbors.

At work someone had mentioned that they really wanted a frozen dacquiri, but she hadn't found a good recipe yet. I knew my father had a great recipe, so I called and asked them for it. I gave it to the woman who had wanted it. As it was a real hot day out, on my way home from work, I picked up the makings fr frozen dacquiris, made them, and sat on my front stoop enjoying them! Someone else from work stopped at my house on their way home and I shared my frozen dacquiris with him!! Very nice!

My favorite memory is of the summertime when I was growing up. There were days when it wasn't warm and it wasn't cool - it was like the atmosphere was the same temperature as my body. Now that I live down South, I'll never have that again - it's ALWAYS hot in the summer.

I loved going to our towns summer events on the square when I was growing up. Watermelon feeds, ice cream socials - seeing all my friends and running around when the world was a much safer place. Memories!!

My favorite summer memory was when I was 4 or 5. Mom had a conference in NC so we drove her up and Dad, my brother and I just wandered all over for a week. One night at a little motel, the owner invited everyone out for watermelon. It was the best.
