You Can't Judge A Book By Its Cover #86

- You can't judge a book by its cover - which is very true.
But you can like one cover version better than another.....

US cover
UK cover
If it has Harlan Coben's name on the cover, I'm reading it! His new book, Fool Me Once, releases in late March 2016. The US/Canadian cover is on the left and the UK cover is on the right. No question for me this week - I prefer the US cover. I'm not a fan of the UK 'damsel in distress' cover, although I appreciate the tagline. The US cover just says suspense to me, with both the colour and the broken glass. Which cover do you prefer? Do you plan to read Fool Me Once?
You Can't Judge A Book By Its Cover is now a regular Friday feature
at A Bookworm's World.

  1. Not a fan of this genre, though I must like the damsel in distress effect because my eye went directly to the UK cover and stayed there. Perhaps it is the color.

  2. It's the UK cover for me. Don't like the colour of the US cover. There's nothing about this cover that would compel me to pick it up in a bookstore, if I were unfamiliar with the author. I like the photo of the stalker (?) inserted into the running girl & of course the tagline.
Won't read this as I have read a couple of his books & have found them to be nothing special.

  3. I agree, the US cover is better this week, and same here, if Harlan Coben wrote it I'm reading it!

  4. I honestly am not a big fan of the damsel in distress cover. I much prefer the other. I am really excited for this one to come out. I just discovered his books awhile back through a fellow librarian and am very much looking forward to this one.
